Meaning to Poetry

(poems go here) I was probably about seven years old and I was infuriated at someone, ready to erupt on them. But of course me being civilized. I began to write down how I felt by jotting down what I wrote. Although what I had written wasn't very peaceful I felt at ease. At the time I didn't know that what I was doing had a name. It made a connection to me I had never felt before in my life. A connection to who I truly was.. with no filters, no sense of guilt for being me, or censors, just me and my feelings. I realize now that I am older is that Poetry is my escape of having my feelings bottled up in me which were ready to explode on anyone which would get me into fights. Poetry flows coolness throughout my mind to soothe my wrath and to explore my true self.
