Measurement

Foundlings are taught to

Measure their lives in time spent.

Each yearly succession, each revolution around the SUN,

means a new set of standards to be met.

                             Now,  preconceived, predestined plans

are gone.

One is now considered,

      by their social dogma,

GROWN.

Life is measured in societally valued

                             accomplisments.
