Media's Torment

Thirty-six, twenty-four, thirty-six

Something nearly every girl tries to fix

What’s viewed as the “perfect” image

What are a few meals for some “slimage”?

Words from a screen and a model that’s weak

Images to strive for until you hit your peak

The view never seemed so worthless

A whole other mountain you must’ve missed

The challenges of modern media craze

Always working to please but never hearing praise

So you decide you are the one in control

This is your life, body, heart, and soul

Being happy with yourself which is a first

Reminiscing on the struggle of what was the worst

Stand tall, think strong, and be true.

“For the spirit of God has made you”.
