Medicine

Administer this if you wish to feel better,
But beware the side effects to this irreversible commitment.
Once the drug is applied fate is no longer yours to control.
Prescribed to mend the wounds the world has brought about,
Medicine is an aid to the pain of the real world.
Medicine, vital to survival and healthiness.
But medicine, being the drug it is cannot heal alone.
To heal one must want to heal.
Should a drug be taken with intent not to heal it can harm.
Medicine is the fuel for the people,
it rebuilds us, it makes us sane, it reignites the spirit within.
Medicine is the backbone of society.
Do not abuse medicine,
for all the good it does,
Medicine can do so much more harm.
But fear not for what is done due to misuse of medicine,
Can often be undone by a healthy dose of a stronger prescription.

I write to cope with the pains of everyday life, so that I may help anyone that I can.
