Mediocre Me

We are pushed to be perfect everyday

Ridiculed when average at best

I do not care

I will not care

My father screamed and tore out his hair

six year old me spelt a word wrong again

I do not care

I will not care

He posts up big like a tree

" Write it twenty times over," he said.

I do not care

I will not care

I did my first grade class work wrong

My teacher screams at me again

I do not care

I will not care

Apparently I have ADD.

The doctor gives me pills to eat

I do not care

I will not care

my appetites gone with some of my weight

From taking the pills I truly hate

They do not care

They will not care

I'm sent to the principles everyday

because of my C average in the sixth grade

They don't really care

They will never care

My grades drop lower and lower

I am diagnosed with chronic depression

I do not care

YOU DON'T CARE

More pills come with more side effects

I begin to have panic attacks

But they don't care

They never cared

Projecting themselves back on to me saying

"It's like you don't even care."

Now tell me please

How is this fair?
