A Meditation
As cascade waters bathe my soul,
I feel my spirit glow,
With restful rhythm of the falls,
As peacefully she flows.
The air is still, and all around
Sweet birdsong fills the air,
I let my mind fly on a breeze,
As spirit sends a prayer.
A message to the planet earth,
That we may make her whole
Instead of this destruction
As progress takes its toll.
Her waters running pure and free,
Splashes to rocks below,
Shrouding in a hazy mist,
Of rainbow tinted glow.
On sparkling river highlights,
She paints a magic scene
A watercolour painting
Of a momentary dream.
I slide into her cooling depths,
Refreshed within my mind,
And leave my many troubles
Of the day, so far behind.
A gentle inner cleansing,
In holographic awe
I stepped into my reverie
Bewitched by all I saw.
For nature is the tonic
That my soul needs every day,
Surrounded by her beauty,
All my cares just drift away.
If you would feel this peace of mind,
Beside the waterfall,
Take notice of this precious gift
That nature offers all.
Take time out from your busy day
To give your mind a break,
The cooling waters of the falls
Soon soothes all inner ache.
