Are values set by them … who bathe in luxury?

Is it all a matter of price … set by the well to do?

Paintings, a car, diamonds or land priced in forgery

What would the value be … if no one paid the dues?

What is the material … that it attracts our being?

What is that power that intrigues us so deep in our heart?

Why are there no boundaries on our wants and our greed?

Why does it harm us to the core … from birth unto death?

In rebirth all these longings … surely are changing

or should not they … as the new nature takes hold?

But so many “reborn” are … materially speaking

with little change in them … they’re still in the old mode?
