Medusa, my Lady

Medusa, my Lady,

You aren’t so fair.

You glimmer and shine,

Yet I despise your hair.

You used to mean so much to me,

But now, I see past your empty glare.

I’m still here,

Not enchanted,

Not infatuated,

Not even petrified.

My blood boils, my conscience simmers.

You are nothing.

From dust came your name, to dust will your name depart.

Medusa, my Lady.
