Medusa's Simple Life

Being different doesn't come easy for me

Knowing I don't fit in gives me a hard time

Snakes slithering through my life, no truthful tales

Having an understanding that I have myself and no other

Medusa, I, me, a woman, or goddess, with beauty inside

No snake can represent or reflect my pain or sorrows

For which, I can only do this justice

I, me, a woman, a goddess,

Speaking for myself in this world

Activist? No. Preacher? No.

A woman with rights, rights to be my own

Living in a world with simple-minded people

Not knowing what's right

Giving an interpretation of evil

I, a woman, needing guidance

Gets guidance from one's self

Medusa, no mythological being

A human being, snakes won't ruin my life

Medusa, a simple woman

In a simple world

With a simple life
