Medusa's Stare

Thu, 10/17/2019 - 21:02 -- jmejia

It’s that feeling you get

When you stand in fear

Motionless

Frozen

Coldness draws near

You don’t know what to do

But you keep staring

As they stare at you back

Into these deep dark eyes

Its a mix of many feelings

or even a few

The feeling of stone

Locked in your shoes

Fear

Hate

It's all coming clear

Could this last stand

Be your fate drawing near?

Your feet are cold

Your legs become numb

You can’t feel anything

Not even the tip of your thumb

You stare into that face

Because it’s the last you will see

It’ll take a lot of effort

Just to get free

It doesn’t matter where

You will feel this glare

This is what you call

The Medusa's Stare
