Meeting My Own Hell

Empty.

Hollow.

Worthless.

Insignificant.

Disgrace.

Embarassment.

Useless.

Stupid.

"Enough!"

Words are just words

These insults mean NOTHING to him now

In the past, these words haunted his head

He believed every word

He took note of the tone used toward him

Always mocking and dark

It sent him to a different world

One where pain was the only exit, the only escape

He was lost

He felt alone

Every day felt like a dread

The darkness was consuming his mind, and himself

He just wanted it to end

The pain was unbearable

Tears did not help

He grew hopeless and tired

Light

A hand came to help him

Console him

Give him strength and a friend

He feels stronger, more confident

He knows now those words meant nothing

Those people meant NOTHING

He will not be torn apart again

He will confront those who dare insult him

He knows who he is and WILL NEVER let anyone define him
