A Meeting of Those Who Control Your Life: A Modern Sonnet

Let us destroy humankind’s minds today; Let us burn, bury, and cover the truth; Tell the adults: back to work on Monday! And we shall let our God handle the youth. Insurance, retirement; feed on fear While the children learn our causes are just; Keeping morals, or shame, ever so dear And we shall bombard them with greed and lust. Once they’re grown up and indoctrinated, We will shame them, confuse them even more We’ll have them docile, assimilated We’ll honor man, call the woman a whore. Separation anxiety is key To make society how it should be.
