Melancholy

It'd be better

If this damp melancholy

Was out of the norm

Or would it be worse?

I played this song for you

After our bitter fight

To melt wariness to weariness

A tune to carry my regrets

In hopes of reconciliation

But I fear it's too late

Far too late for some melody

To mend our faults
