Melissa
Melissa, experience might have taught me that all must love thee, who behold thee; Surely experience might have taught thy firmest promises are nought; But placing all thy charms before me, All is forgotten but to adore thee.
Melissa, that fair and fond deceiver, how prompt I am to believe her! How throbs the pulse when first I view those eyes that roll and glossy blue, and sparkles bright, and mildly throws. A beam from under hazel brows!
Melissa, how quick I credit every oath, and believe that promise that binds us both. Fondly I hope it will last for aye, when lo! It could be over in a day. While this life we live is writ in sand. My love for you will forever stand.
