The Melody Inside Of Me

You are music. You are in all things. You started as fun. Not serious. Then you got me alone and you filled my ears and now you’re in my headspace. I can’t get you out. I memorized you. Your movements, your pace, your words. I opened myself up and let you fill every part of me. When they talk to me, I can only speak you. My mind runs on a track that’s shaped like you. And when you stop. When I can’t hear you anymore, I still do. It’s an echo now. But I hear you and I still feel you but it’s darker. And stronger. Because you’re not really there, I create my own songs and they sound like you but something’s off. They notice I still use your lyrics. I’m still moving at your tempo. I still move the way you told me to move. You took who I was and now I can’t hear anything but you.
