Melted Frost

Woken by fright,

my breath is still.

The air is frozen in my lungs,

like the hardened snow of last nights storm.

A shift next to me

and there is warmth.

A warmth blossoming from first love,

not the first to be loved, but instead the first truth.

For fear is nothing in the face of truth

and love burns away all darkness

and replaces it with glorious rays of light.

For your love brought me out of fear

and into warmth.
