Memo to Self

Dear Me This is your note to self, your wakeup call Remember right now. When you’re sitting on leather couches When your mouth is full of pins and sharp words you can’t say When you don’t want to die but you just don’t want to exist for a while Remember that you have lived, you have survived to this point That every day you are breaking a personal record of days lived That you are a master and dragging your sorry bones out of bed and getting things done That even though you had to drag yourself up that mountain you still saw the view. Don’t forget it. Memo to Self
