Memoir

I recall EVERYTHING!

The airbag only burst when I hit the tree in the bush. He wouldn’t have died had he not jumped off the bike.

The impact on him wasn’t same as the impact I had in the bush.

I was the target!

It’s clear to me now as to how I am the victim and the villain.

The flashbacks are now clear and glaring. I wasn’t speeding, I slowed when I saw him from afar and just when I was about passing through, he rushed into the road leaving me no options and at that point I lost control and screeched off the road.

The car upon summersaulting severally landed with a bang in the bush, that was when the airbag broke.

I remember it all NOW!

I was the target, he was only used as a decoy and as a tool to get me. Had it been unknown to him, he wouldn’t jump but I see where it was meant to go.

To distract me, make me lose control thus sending me to abyss whilst he’d go scot-free.

Alas! It was never going to be so, the exchange happened really quick as immediate, he took my place.

The very place which was prepared for me and the used became the final victim.

I conquered death!
