Memories
We run in hills, vast and green,
but I don't realize what other people have seen.
That life is like spinning pennies,
and we don't have many.
If they stop their spin,
they can not spin again.
We will have those moments in the hills.
Picking flowers as our hearts fill.
One day we will be in the sky,
and sometimes we ask why.
Why does it have to be this way?
I want the grass to sway,
and the children to play.
And to do that my whole life, every day.
We want to be at our house in winter with a lit fire.
I want to sled down a hill in a tire.
We all want things,
some can be as simple as spring.
All the people being outdoors,
fishing by the lake with their fancy lures.
We all want gifts and toys,
but you can't forget about girls and boys.
Our family is rare you can not buy it,
even if you don't want it.
You must care for them, that is that,
and before you know it their pennies will be flat.
