Memories

When I am alone

Quite often I'm thrown

Violently into a mood

By my pensive attitude

I think of my past

The time that has passed

And my heart becomes swollen

From time that was stolen

I have some regrets

For the time I was bereft

Many things I would say

If I had one more day

While writing this poem

Wishing I’d better known him

Reminds me of my sister

Knowing that I would miss her

I try a little harder

To love her with ardor

To guide and protect her

So pain won’t recur

Without him I’m lost

My heart tempest-tossed

And though it’s hard to cope

The thoughts give me hope

There's nothing much other

Without a doubt

Memories of my brother

I cannot live without
