Memories

What if I couldn't remember.

You or there or here.

What if I became a blank slate without recollection of my own name?

All the good times gone.

The sweet kisses, good mornings and goodbyes

The times we laughed, erased?

I need to remember forever the first time we met

The jokes you told, the times we wept.

The places we've gone

The things we've seen.

The late night talks about jazz and horoscopes

Or evolution and pizza.

Our memories are intricate, composed like a symphony.

Can't lose that because when you're gone they live on

I need to know you forever, I need to play your song.
