Memories

Dear memories, What is it that you want from me It's been way too long You've got me thinking all sorts of things You've got me thinking wrong I started by complaining Making faces Getting mad Throwing things And talking back Now I cover my wrists, and hide the scars I lay in my room, in the dark of night The memories corrupt me The words I get dig deep I tried and tried to be so happy And now I'm shy and dark I hate people, I hate friends, I hate the voice inside my head I hate how you tell me what to do And that they're certain thing that I can't say I close my eyes and you come back I open them and there you stand Oh memories, oh memories, I beg you on my knees, I'll even kiss ur hand Let me free, and let me fly, Let me be happy, one more time Yours truly, Me
