Memories

The air was cold-

The sky was dark and empty,

Just like her heart.

There she stood alone in the abandoned parking lot,

Surrounded by all of her memories.

He chased the snow cone truck, just so I could get one,

He played Cinderella every time he baby sat me

And now hes gone.

And all of these memories I hold in my heart,

I will never be able to share them with him again.

I now sit in a patch of dead grass, under the cold sun of December,

Surrounded by the spirits of the once living,

But there is only one person I am here to see.

Grandpa.

And I hope he sees me, and all of the good memories I am hanging on to,

Even though they are now shattered like broken glass.
