Memories

skipping stones across the pond in my mind and i find it to be quite unsettling the waves wash away layers which hide all the truths i’ve kept to myself and all the lies that i have told all the hope i hoped to forget now shows its bones sunk into the bank still speckled with rot i lay down and wait for everything to become stagnant i close my eyes and long for everything to stop
