Memories

What happens to our memories?

Where do all of our dreams go?

Is there even something to see?

When there is nothing left of us,

And the rest of the world is nothing,

And there is no one else to trust.

As we breathe our last breath,

What happens to the past?

Do we remember those we love-

The ones who stood by us when times got tough?

Is there even anything to remember at all?

Will it all be like a distant dream?

Or will we remember everything-

More than we ever remembered before.

Will every memory be there?

Or will our sweetest memories be forgotten?
