Memories
Walls of bars
And memories
Of us riding in cars
The song of the chickadee
Dancing through my ears
Memories
Like branches
From the tree
Of my mind.
Considering the circumstances
You become blind.
Blind to the time
And the youth of your own mind
You grow and blossom
And become a possum
Trapped in apathy
You're just a memory
