Memories

The wind is whispering

Sweet memories

Into my ear.

The memories give me

A warm welcoming smile.

They’re soft and forgiving,

Racing through my mind.

The memories tell me

How much I’ve grown,

Then give me a warm hug.

They brag about

How much better they are

Than any picture taken or painted.

The memories give me

A warm forgiving smile

As they say

Goodbye.
