Memory

she stands alone

in the dark

dark closing in

as the tears fall

she feels pain

within

her heart aches

but she cant let go

the past a memory

her breaths thinner

and less

as she remembers

she asks why

why it had to be her

the man she loved

is now gone

theres no going back

to the old life

a new one begins

and life moves on

but he stays a memory

forever in her mind
