Memory Sky

When I am in my head

Laying on a grassy hill

Gazing at the sky above

Beneath my closed eyes

I can see my memories

They spread above me

Shimmering like stars

Whispering their secrets

I pull down these stars

To see their memories

Do you remember?

The gray lost dog

The rainy camping trip

The journal you kept

I wish you could be here

Laying next to me

But you have long since

Passed to another galaxy

Beyond my reach

And I can only grasp

At memories of you

From upon my grassy hill

Underneath my memory sky
