Memory of You

Marooned on the island,

No country in sight,

I dream of a sweet face,

Long through the night.

Your shadow still lingers,

Beside me at morn.

Your hands still upon mine,

Now sunburnt and worn.

I remember your eyes,

How they'd light up my day.

But the only light now,

Seems to burn me away.

I think back to times,

When we'd put on our plays,

A Midsummer Night's Dream,

Is now just a haze.

These memories live on,

While I wither to dust,

These memories I cherish,

And remember, I must.
