me,myself and i

I was at my lowest point in my life,

the ground beneath me was crumbling and I didn't want to continue.

Why would I want to continue a life I saw no value in?

The stars never seemed to shine anymore and the moon was always on the run.

The wind that used to hold me so close had started to just dance around me,

without me.

Goosebumps were always present on my arms, but god I was so hot.

Hot, hot, hot.

I was always so angry with the way things were laying out.

I would cry with the ocean and ask, "why me?"

Everything started to change when I instead started asking myself, "why not me?"

The simple flip of a question was like a light bulb going off in my head.

It was like I had been reborn,

everything was so much brighter.

The stars were once shining again and the moon started to say hello.

I am learning as I am going, learning with myself.

I am my own mentor, and god damn I am trying hard to be good at it.
