Me...Myself...and You
A young man of many words,
But speaks very few of them.
A young man who understands,
But is not understood.
I can talk and be somebody,
I can talk and make my point,
I can talk and be heard…
But I choose not to.
I can go above and beyond,
I can smile everyday,
I can even laugh…
But many things hold me back.
I'm not your average person,
I'm not just a human,
I'm not that guy who keeps walking…
I'm that runner,
That runner who fights the pain that’s trying to hold me back.
No pain is going to stop me,
But the thing that will stop me,
Is you.
You see,
It's not all about me,
Its about everyone.
I'll stop,
If you need help,
If you need somebody to tell you it'll be okay,
If you need a friend to make your day.
It is not only me,
Who fights against the negativity that roams this world today,
Who opposes the crime,
Who questions the government.
But despite all of that,
I am a proud human being,
I am unique,
I don’t give up,
And I never will.
Life is too short…
To be angry 24/7,
To be depressed about the past,
To stress about the future.
This is the present,
And the young man I am today,
Is because of the people around me,
Who strived everyday,
To make sure,
I had a future.
Now its time,
For me to be thankful,
Move on with my life,
And make my future.
I am a handsome young man,
Just like everyone women,
Is beautiful,
Just like every man,
Is handsome.
I am unique,
Just like you,
And everyday,
Is a day to be thankful for.
