Men

Stop. Wait no go. DAMN!

The confusion that separates boy from man,

The boy’s body a haven for broken ideals,

His head a graveyard for old dreams,

His hopes trapped behind the seams of his wrinkled shirt,

His hand a tool for the greater good,

His brain contemplates if it should

Empower the mouth and tongue

To speak in languages only the young know.

Only the young boys dare say day to day

What comes to their mind.

They only share with their kind

Their troubles and disasters.

These young boys

They are weak.

Not like men.

Whose brave decisions

Have caused the deaths of tens of millions,

Whose developed minds have led to underdeveloped nations,

Whose composed behavior has led to the decomposition of civilization.

These wise and respectable men

Oh how we admire them and their policies

How unlike the dumb boys, they keep to themselves.

Their heads are factories for dream catchers and killers,

Their hands punishers for any improper action or belief,

Their bodies havens for bounty hunters

Relentlessly searching for more boys to turn into men.

And these products of testosterone and androgen

Are all the same.

All they desire is wealth and fame

And to run our society.

Aren’t we all lucky that these men represent us;

That these foolish youth don’t blurt out their thoughts?

After all,

There is no time for these ideas and thoughts to be heard

And of course never enough time for man to change.
