Men

Men
For so long you made me want the embraces of your stare
So long did I want my curves to catch your grin
I listened for the angel’s cry
when we sinned
Men
You make me wonder
Not often am I afraid of that glare
The way you lick your lips
As you stare
I feel you’re lust
So heavy on my rear
End
I hear your calls
But I keep my face forward
I keep my hand tightly gripped on my telephone
In case I have to ring for The Help
That may not come for me
Because I’m me
I keep my face forward
I need to see my surroundings
I keep my eyes open
Hoping the shouts will
End
Men
Again I find myself missing the roughness in your hands
Even when they’re soft
Got me missing my man,
They’re all in my ear telling me you’re all the same
WHAT, man?
I’m caught in this fantasy
He’s not the perfect man
But my body only knows the mind of his hands
I swear this ain’t just no any man
You should’ve felt the way he kissed the lobes of my ear
I’ll never forget the sweets nothings he whispers
I’ve never met this man
But man I’ve felt a love like this
So accepting of the Woman
Understanding of the ways
Of the shapes and knowing when I’m just having one of those days
Men
You’re not all the same
But there’s a few things that just resonate
In your kin, amongst “you and the guys”, your “Bros” till the
End
Your pride won’t allow you to take women as friends
We’re not just here to be you’re lover
Till the end
You can be committed to a woman
Build a family with a woman
She ain’t fit for kickin it,
You got the guys thinking she just some lil shit to pass time and get there quick
But you’re “Bros” are the same ones tryna wife this chick
Men
We just want you to get it
Can’t you see how much we love you
Too many women are no longer in it to win it
Too many women have to lose, just to gain
Have to hurt and re-evaluate their self worth
Then to men call were insane,
You drive us insane
The lies and playground games
Men
I ain’t blaming you
But you’re the ones to blame.
