Men in the Lake
I threw the stone
Ripples appeared
A small one I had thrown
What happened next was weird
It was during the dark of night
A human climbed out of the lake
My face must have gone white
Going there had been a mistake
The look in his eyes
Showed a dark side
Staying would be unwise
I needed a place to hide
There was no cover
I had nowhere to go
I he would discover
He had become my foe
He was fast
Unnaturally so
But I in contrast
I was slow
Just he was bad
But then came more
But my resolve was ironclad
And I let out a roar
I was outnumbered
Of that I was sure
I then knew my minutes were numbered
But I had to endure
I could fight no longer
And had to give in
For they were much stronger
I knew I could not win
I thought I would die
But I was wrong
For they were sly
Among humans they didn't belong
They were not like us
I was the odd one out
They did not discuss
As I let out a shout
They pulled me in
One of them bit me
I then knew I could not win
There was no way to get free
I woke up 5 hours later
I was no longer the same
I had a new creator
That I could claim
They taught me
I learned their ways
To this I did agree
I was in a daze
I became like them
I was no longer human
I became their new gem
I was the newest inhuman
But not for long
For their was a man at the lake
He was not strong
An inhuman we did make
This was my new life
It was forced on me
At that lake there is strife
So this I plea
Stay away
From that cursed lake
