men matter- written by a girl
Let me tell you a story, about a special little girl who defied all the odds in the
world
Once upon a time
There was a slender woman
Graceful yet grand
It was her mind that wielded a sword
But being who she was, when and where she was
Her duties were limited to serving a man, being his wife, bringing honor to her family
But unfortunately this girl wanted more
She was made for more
Destined for more
So one day when the Hans invaded and the emperor commanded her father to fight
She decided no more
And that it was time her fists wielded a sword
But when she escaped into the dark ashes of the night
She realized she was signing up for far more than she anticipated
But see, she had a little dragon by her side
And a cricket, don't forget
So this little girl set out into the world to find a camp full of men
Men who were training to fight for their emperor
And she was no different
But when she began her training she realized how much she needed to improve
To strenghen and build and break her limits to the ground so she could touch the sky
And oh did she touch that sky
She beat the hans, beat them right out of her sky
And she proved that women deserve everything a man deserves
But, not more
That's not what the story of Mulan is about
It isn't about breaking men down
It's about bringing women up
It wasn't to say women are better
It was to say they are equal to men
And that's what feminism is
Men matter
And so do women
And there is no supreme gender
We all wear crowns
It is the women who claim otherwise that lead to the men who claim otherwise that lead
to the world collapsing
See, Mulan didn't do it alone
She had men by her side
And the men couldn't have done it without a woman by theirs
If a feminist is anti-men, they are no feminist
