The Menace

I kept running

I didn't look back

I paid my dues

It's time to show my hand, to raise it high in defiance

Because I control my own destiny

No longer am I to be bound by the chains of your cruelty

My sentence has been served, though I was innocent

You tell me I am a menace

But even through the barricade you built up, I can see your ignorance

I am not the first nor shall I be the last

I will fight

I will fight until I take my last breath, if only to prove you wrong

I know who I am

I control my destiny
