Mental
I am a mental patient, in my chart
but a good person in my heart
Every day I go to bed
constantly lost within my head
Afraid of what will happen if I just be
Why am I so afraid to just be me?
i could hold my head up high and stand with pride
Instead I sit within my skin and hide
could my illness make me do bad things
Or will it open up my wings
Afraid of what will happen if I just be
Why am I so afraid to just be me?
I am tired of fighting to act sane
Why can't I just have a new brain
Why do I feel like I'm the only one
What does it take to just be done?
Afraid of what will happen if I just be
Why am I so afraid to just be me!
