I've forgotten my purpose I've detached my feelings and emotions So that I can't cry when he speaks It's not even the truth It might be But I've learned to not listen to the emotions And yet at the same time, It makes so much sense But I can't trust anything he says He has betrayed us And he hasn't said sorry He's hurt us and yet he doesn't even know In so many ways And positions. I can't ever imagine him being good again But then again, I always do. I long for a better him But we all know that he can't change. I've forgotten my purpose Of detaching my words from my heart.
