Mental Health

Prison, Nursing Homes, Buses,

All have one thing in common

Jail, Streets, Graves,

But let’s not talk about it

Sunshine, Rainbows, Happiness,

Are much better things to think of

Suffering, Depression, Struggle

Well, let’s just ignore

The kid in the corner with a gun to his head

The girl who can’t make the voices stop

Your daughter, with scars on her arms

Bus them all out

Send them away

We’d rather not look

Better to pretend to pray

Afterall, what is another death?

It’s pretty to discuss the roses

So long as we never mind the thorns
