At this mental state

The things running through my mind are mistakes
Like her
But she's the only mistake I didn't make
She's the reminder
She's the one I always wanted
I'm sorry

She's the one that would have been there if I was
She's better than the other girls
She can't
She likes me but not enough to deal with this
As a child you choose what you want because you want it
As adults we fear the reactions and judgements so we hide
Hide our emotions and desires
We accept what we can get
I accept what I feel I deserve
I didn't deserve her

They were friends
It was small but it still counts
One is falling forward the other is falling away
And I'm chasing her
I don't care how I may seem it's not me
I like you
Like like you
Like I like, like like you
And you like me just not enough for all of this
Not enough
I'm not enough
All I ask is that you give me a chance
Talk to me still

It doesn't have to be romantic
I just want to hear your voice
Your voice
I'm sorry

And I mean it, take me for the fact that I'm here
I can't speak but I want you to know how I feel
Thats not enough
Not enough

But if you're around I feel I could be
Your essence fills me and I elevate to a new level
The fear
If you were me would you talk to you
Talk to me please

Say something

I hate that you won't speak
I hate me for this
You say you're not mad at me but at the situation
I am the situation
I am sorry

With my bruised fist
I'll beat this dead horse
Until the walls are red and you see the pain I'm in
Until the sound echoes through halls
Until you hear that I mean
Until you hear my soul
I want you but I'm afraid
I like you and you've known it
You see me
I'm sorry

And you see that, but you don't need sorry
You like sorry, but sorry's not enough for this
