That Mentor you Mentioned

I was born in '93

Momma says you stared at me

Never made a move to pick me up

You afraid of your newborn pup

You knew why the sky was blue

But didnt know I was afraid of you

Payed for horse lessons, and for camps

But it seemed you didnt like the Daddy Daughter Dance

You got me tutors in every course

But to get you to chat with me I'd have to use force

And I am so honored, because you knew I was smart

But you didnt know I had a broken heart

All the brains and books, came naturally

But knowing my own worth was atrophied

I chased boys instead of good grades

I had rebellious tantrums and displays

And as I got older still

I became less intuned with what I feel

I only knew function Ctrl + V

I had no idea what was wrong with me

I though you failed at something even dumb daddies can do

It would be years before I had the tools

That mentor you mentioned, he is him all the way

No one has helped me as much to this day

People are people and though it is rough

Im so smart I know what he did was enough

Im so smart I know what he did was his love
