mercy

Fri, 04/07/2017 - 07:47 -- Kinyo

nothing can bring me peace

here in the dark

I am dying

but the light lives

that much is evident

seen through shuttered windows

squinting blurred eyes

miles away

from the desert of death

but mercy is mine

mercy is close at hand

and the Lord intends it not for me

but for the enemies who take stands against me

I will bring down a blazing hammer

I will walk sharpened blades

deep into the homes of my would be captors

tearing roof and refuge from my foes

only when their intentions become clear and pure

will I relent

forced by the one whose rage I adopted
