Mermaid

Freedom

This is all she knows
Who cares that she can't be above ground
She ignores the oppression and rules
Of dry land
She ignores the fact that nature has imposed its laws on dry land
And she continues to fly gracefully below the surface of the water
Diving deep or flying high
Whichever she chooses
she spins and flips in such happiness
I enjoy her
I envy her
I want to go down with her
And be as free as she is
So we can forever spend time together
In the freeness of the waters sky
