A message to my old self

What I know now would have helped me back then

Because I would have prepared her for a better future

That the future is bright but storm around your head will soon pass

That the hurricane above your head was created by you. Hurricane MATTEW of feelings like  not being smart enough will only grow stronger the more that you believe it. I wish I could cover her ears and make you not listen to your own taught

I wish I could protect you from the lowest scariest parts of your life. Because living is not the same as being alive.

Because that horrible storm you think is destroying every positive taught to cross your path is just a kid cannon balling into a pool making ripples

So, don’t let a couple waves rock your floaty
