Metamorphosis

Butterflies go threw a long process to be what they are

they go threw stages and obstacles

butterflies end up beautiful after stages of being unnoticed

I am an egg

I am still and non-mobile

I am unnoticeable

I am a first stage caterpillar

I am slow moving

I am unnoticeable

I molt my skin

I survive my first hospital trip

I am unnoticeable

I am a second stage caterpillar

I resort back to cutting

I am unnoticeable

I molt my skin

I shave my head for a dying friend

I am unnoticeable

I am a third stage caterpillar

I cry myself to sleep

I am unnoticeable

I molt my skin

I take a blind boy to prom

I am unnoticeable

I am a stage four caterpillar

I sleep my pain away

I am unnoticeable

I dream of a better me

I dream of a world without hate

I dream of happiness

I awaken

my eyes see brighter colors

I smile real smiles

I cry only tears of joy

My stomach hurts from laughing

mind is filled with happy thoughts

I met myself for the first time

I am a butterfly

everything I do is beautiful

I am noticeable
