Metamorphosus

Wet and shivering,

I slowly creep from safety

out into the world.

The sharp scent of change

lingers on my naked skin,

remnant of before,

But that time has gone,

slipped away through my fingers,

leaving a longing

I cannot express,

a faint regret that fades in

the blinding sunlight.
