Meteor

Sparks erupt in the sky, like a fireworks display on the fourth of July.

Words pour onto the pages, like water as it smooth’s the edges of the most ragged rock transforming it into something beautiful.

A fusion of ideas ignited by a spark within has discovered its potential. Like a fledging bird ready for its first flight, the soul is ready for its journey.

Thoughts and feelings I have felt for years erode to form dynamic variances within that penetrate through the force field of my shattered soul.

Words hold such immense power, why is this so? Is it simply because we allow them to by giving them a voice, or is it because the potency of sentiments written and spoken is more compelling than the human mind can comprehend?

All these queries revolve in my pulsating mind as I attempt to figure out the answers. Perhaps the reality is that words we think of and the verses we write will have more power than we will ever know.

When the words meet paper, the meteor explodes and the innermost conceptions from within pour out and illuminate the page.

That is why writers write, to see their words come alive before them like an asteroid in the sky. Words are like fireballs, when there is passion behind them, their meaning is exemplified.

Poetry is like a meteor, when there is insurmountable force behind the words that is when you have tapped into something amazing.

RebelPoet

A small town New England poet from CT. I like figuring out ways to make words work. Suppose you could call me a Rebel Poet. I write about your standard themes in different ways. I also write about experiences, changes, etc. I'd like it if you'd read what I post and leave constructive criticism. I don't consider debates constructive or conducive to writing, though.

My inspiration came from a quote on the Power Poetry FB page. Wallace Stevens says something powerful with a few words and I want to expand on the though he presented.
