Methodical love

There's a distance between us now

that wasn't there before

I'd say my heart is aching

but all I feel is numb

I've been faking emotion so long

It's become a habit

My actions are methodical

My interest is detached

Don't wait up for me

I've forgotten you already

I would never stray

you've stolen all love from me

So my heart's forever yours

but my mind's become vacant

I'd say my heart is breaking

but all emotion escapes me

I am a singer-songwriter. I like to write poetry, but poems rarely fit into music very well so I think I am going to post the poems I write here.
