Metro in Paris

Zechariah 10:2

For the household gods have spoken wickedness, the soothsayers have seen a lie, and as for the dreamers, they have disclosed emptiness and give comfort in vain. Therefore the people set out like sheep and become scattered because they have no shepherd.

In the Metro

Paris

Never to be seen again … how oft do we encounter?

Expressionless faces lost in levels of nothingness

Simply sliding by as a background of a lost country

Impressions of lost races in their search for happiness

To swim in the sea of humanness … where most appear dark grey

Colorless streaks of emotion proclaimed in faces flat and drained

Examples of great loneliness … squeezed with nothing left to pay

Where emptiness becomes devotion written on their paper planes

Why are all strains of dying plastered everywhere in Paris?

Why hollowness seems adored somehow in this lost generation?

Is existence unforgiving where sin blooms unharrased?

Has it become the vitamin for more growth in frustration?
